Our group focuses on various areas of modern organometallic chemistry, tackling fundamental problems and also doing applied research in cooperation with industry. Current topics include:

   - Reaction mechanisms and reactive intermediates
   - Molecules with unusual bonding situations
   - Homogeneous catalysis with transition metals and Frustrated Lewis Pairs (FLPs)
   - Organic electronics and luminescent materials
   - Oligosilanes/-germanes and Si/Ge nanostructures
   - Single-crystal X-ray crystallography
